Welcome to The Pennsylvania Rambler.
My name is Norman M. Houser and I’ll be your guide for the journey you are starting on.
I grew up in Central Pennsylvania, graduating from Bellefonte Area High School in 1993 and Lock Haven University in 1997. While life took me in a different direction than I planned, it did not stop my love of history and folklore. In 2017 I returned to Lock Haven University and graduated in 2020 with B.A.’s in English Literature and History, with a minor in Political Science.
Since 2018, The Pennsylvania Rambler, has been a journey to explore the lost and forgotten stories of history. While the majority of our journey will remain within Pennsylvania’s borders, we will be taking some trips out-of-state as we explore.
Articles found on The Pennsylvania Rambler include: unsolved murders, folklore, athletes, actresses and actors, covered bridges, and authors. Under the “Categories” drop box, you can see the full selection of categories to help you navigate through the articles. If you are searching for an article in Pennsylvania, the articles can be searched by county and local communities. I have not broken down out-of-state entries like this: for example, all Ohio articles are listed under “Ohio”.
If you wish, you may contact me at: PennsylvaniaRambler@gmail.com.
So pack your bags, grab your snacks, prepare for the journey and “Let me tell you a story.”
